Type 1 to GB/T AC Charging Adapter 32A
The Type 1 to GB/T AC charging adapter (model ZH5) bridges SAE J1772 (Type 1) vehicles and the Chinese GB/T 20234.2 AC standard. It lets J1772 cars charge from GB/T AC points inside China, and lets GB/T AC vehicles use J1772 stations when travelling in the opposite direction - one adapter covers both workflows.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this adapter support GB/T DC fast charging?
No. GB/T DC (20234.3) uses a different 9-pin connector and much higher currents. For DC standards we offer dedicated converters such as the GB/T to CCS2 unit.
Can it convert a Chinese GB/T car to a US J1772 station?
Yes - the adapter is symmetric, so it works in both directions at up to 32 A.
What power level should I expect?
Up to about 7.4 kW at 230 V / 32 A single phase; the vehicle on-board charger sets the final rate.
