At present, there are five construction and operation modes: government-led, enterprise-led, user-led, mixed and crowdfunding.

First, the government-led model

Advantages and disadvantages: the government's active electric vehicle charging pile operation mode is conducive to the orderly and intensive development route, but due to the current low efficiency of electric vehicle charging pile operation, it will increase the financial pressure of the government for a long time and is not conducive to the large-scale development of the electric vehicle charging pile industry. 

Second, enterprise-led model 

Features: The charging pile is invested and operated by enterprises as market players. 

Advantages and disadvantages: the operation and management effect of the enterprise-led electric vehicle charging pile operation mode is significantly higher than that of the government, and the pressure on capital is also less. However, enterprise leadership needs to cooperate with government policies, otherwise it will affect the market order and is not conducive to orderly development experience. 

Third, user-led mode 

Features: Users invest in the construction of charging piles to meet their own vehicle needs. Due to the rapid decline in the cost of charging piles, the promotion of home charging facilities may usher in rapid growth. 

Advantages and disadvantages: It can realize the effective connection between the charging pile and the customer, but at the same time, the customer needs to bear the high construction cost, and it can also become a profit model through operation. 

Fourth, mixed mode 

Features: Enterprise-led mode with government participation and support, hybrid operation of electric vehicle AC and DC charging pile centralized station. 

Advantages and disadvantages: the complementarity of the government and enterprises can reduce the shortcomings of their respective models and promote the progress and development of the electric vehicle charging pile industry. However, the coordination requirements of both sides are high, and enterprises will be more constrained. 

Five. Crowdfunding model 

Features: Integrate the forces of enterprises, society, government and other aspects, and use the crowdfunding mode of Internet thinking to promote the construction of charging piles. 

Advantages and disadvantages: Crowdfunding is conducive to improving the utilization rate of social resources, and helps to improve the efficiency of all aspects of the work, and pays more attention to user needs in the service. At present, the crowdfunding model has been strongly supported and promoted by the government, but it is difficult to promote in first-tier cities with tight parking space resources.
