The installation cost of a charging pile is mainly related to the installation conditions, for example, generally, no cable fees are charged within 30 meters, but material fees are required for the distribution box, switch, electric meter, etc. It is also related to the type of charging pile. For example, general household use is based on charging stations or AC piles, while charging piles are mainly fast-charging piles with higher installation requirements. Therefore, only a rough reference range can be given: AC pile installation costs are between 500-2000, and fast-charging piles are between 5,000-10,000, including material costs.

Classification of Charging Piles

By installation method, they can be divided into floor-standing charging piles and wall-mounted charging piles. Floor-standing charging piles are suitable for installation in parking spaces not close to walls. Wall-mounted charging piles are suitable for installation in parking spaces close to walls.

By installation location, they can be divided into public charging piles and dedicated charging piles. Public charging piles are built in public parking lots (garages) combined with parking spaces, providing public charging services for social vehicles. Dedicated charging piles are built in the parking lots (garages) of construction units (enterprises) for internal use by unit (enterprise) personnel. Private charging piles are built in personal parking spaces (garages) for private users to charge. Charging piles are generally built in combination with parking spaces in parking lots (garages). The protection level of outdoor installed charging piles should not be lower than IP54. The protection level of indoor installed charging piles should not be lower than IP32.

By the number of charging interfaces, they can be divided into single-charging piles and multi-charging piles.

By charging method, they can be divided into DC charging piles (stations), AC charging piles (stations), and integrated AC/DC charging piles (stations).### Steps for Installation

**Step 1: Obtain Property Management Approval and Cooperation**

Approval from the property management of the community is the primary condition. Property management approval also indicates their willingness to cooperate in providing necessary assistance, such as opening the door to the distribution room or some pipeline doors. A proof document with the property management's official seal is required, and most communities now provide this.

In addition to using the property's electricity, you can also apply directly to the power supply office. However, the property's electricity rates are generally higher and may include tiered pricing. If you apply directly at the power supply office, the rates will be the same as residential electricity, so it is recommended to apply directly as the cost difference is significant.

**Step 2: Apply at the Local Power Supply Office**

After obtaining property management approval, bring the parking space proof (property ownership certificate), owner's ID card, and property management approval document to the power supply office to apply. Fill out forms such as the "Low Voltage Residential Electricity Registration Form," "Low Voltage Electric Meter Installation and Connection Form," "Low Voltage Customer Receiving Engineering Completion Inspection Opinion Form," "Customer Expansion Application Processing Notice," and "Smart Payment Service Agreement." The specific documents required will vary based on the local power company's instructions.

**Step 3: On-Site Inspection by the Power Supply Office**

After accepting the application, the power supply office will arrange for an on-site inspection within 1-3 working days. If the conditions are met and installation is approved, they will install an independent electric meter for the charging pile, which will be billed separately.

**Step 4: Install the Charging Pile**

After approval from the power supply office, the installation can proceed with the property management's cooperation. The installation process typically takes half a day to one day. Once installed, you can start using the charging pile after paying the necessary fees.
