Plan Your Charging Route in Advance

Use Navigation Apps: Before departure, use Baidu Maps or Amap to search for "charging stations" to view the distribution of charging stations along the route, their real-time status, and charging prices, allowing you to plan your charging stations in advance and arrange your charging time reasonably.

Leverage Charging Operator Apps: Download apps like "eCharge," "CSG Online," Teledu, and Xingxing Charging. After registration, you can accurately query the locations and availability of charging stations operated by these providers, with some apps even offering charging spot reservations.

Follow Highway Official Channels: Many highway authorities publish charging station information on their official websites or WeChat official accounts, including the number, locations, and distribution of charging stations. Staying informed in advance helps you stay prepared.

May Day Guide for Selecting Charging Stations for New Energy Vehicles

Master Off-Peak Charging Techniques

Avoid Peak Hours: The morning and afternoon of the first and last days of the May Day holiday are peak times for charging stations at highway service areas. It is recommended to charge during off-peak hours such as late at night, early morning, or early evening to reduce waiting times.

Utilize Downtime: Charge your vehicle while resting or dining at service areas. You don't need to fully charge your vehicle; charging up to 80% is sufficient to continue your journey, saving time and avoiding overcharging.

  Backup Charging Solutions Are Essential

Explore Nearby City Charging Stations: If charging stations at highway service areas are fully occupied, consider exiting the highway early to charge at public charging stations in nearby cities. Use map apps to search for charging stations in nearby cities, where there are often more stations, shorter wait times, and potentially more affordable charging prices.

Carry Emergency Charging Equipment: Keep portable chargers and adapters in your vehicle. In case of emergencies, you can find nearby residential areas and use household power outlets for slow charging to prevent your vehicle from breaking down due to low battery levels.

Charging Precautions  Inspect the Charging Port: Before connecting the charging gun, check the charging port to ensure it is clean, avoiding charging failures caused by dirt or debris.

Monitor Charging Status: During charging, use your vehicle's system or mobile app to monitor the charging status in real-time and address any issues promptly.

Stay Connected: Keep your phone accessible during charging to receive updates on charging station status and potential issues
